time to catch a big fish….(Another fishing question) lol?
Ive been fishing for a few years, getting more and more involved with the sportt, the truth is im fed up with catching little fish on my hook, or them little nipper bluegills that take the worm from the hook and dont take the desert (the hook) lol, even then i dont feel a accomplishment, i aint ready to buy $20 lures and whip up a tuna fish or something, i got time to progress, but im ready for the next level, maybe im fishing the wrong places, or the wrong area, i live in Stark county, Northeast Ohio, i dont wanna travel too far because of gas just to get skunked, but i know theres bigger fish in the lakes im fishing at… I usually use nighcrawlers and drag along the bottom for catfish, Some float a bober with a minnow or something for bass or something, but whats the deal with getting the bigger fish, i wanna start eating my catches, the minimum is 15 inches and ill be lucky to get 10 inches… I also use plastic bait and spinner lures crankbaits and them little crappy jigs.
I also wanna know how to out smart a carp, coz as soon as i spot one, it hears my thoughts and harpoons through the water. I tried using some carp bait from the baitshop for them, but i havent even got a hit from them.
Ok, the same thinged happened to me a few years ago UNTIL my uncle bought me a bag of GARY YAMAMOTO GREEN PUMPKIN artificial worms, they are $6 a pop now, but u can get knock-off brands, you fish these many ways but a very popular way is to put a nice sized slipshot about a foot from the hook.
