what type of bass fishing lure do you like the best and which one works the best?
i want to buy bass lures becausse i dont want to keep spending my money on bait everytime i go fishing. what bass lures work the best? ive use spinner bait and plastic worm but i dont seem to catch anything. what type of lures work the best for bass or pike? and if you have a picture of the lure then that would be great cuz i want to see what im trying to buy at the store.
Topwater lures have some good results. Diving crank plugs also work well. Topwater lures and rubber baits work best in shallow water in morning and evening, while divers and spinners work best in afternoon. So, you may have the right stuff, but bad presentation and time of use can prevent you from getting results. Also, old rubber worms smell artificial and unappealing, so make sure your rubber baits have scent on them. So my favorite is whatever works that day, but I really like topwater lures and rubber baits, so my best fishing is in the morning.
Sorry, no pics, but anyone in the store should know what you are talking about. I would recommend actually shopping in a sporting goods store, because their employees should know what they are talking about (Beware, they have proven this theory incorrect before).
Good luck!
If you could only have 5 bass fishing lures, what would they be?
Im looking for some real good bass fishing lures, so please be specific in your Top 5- thank you!
1. YUM pre-rigged/weedless “Crawbug” (2 1/2″) in “Green-pumpkin/Texas-red” color. (Craw Papi rigged on a good 1/2 OZ Jig is a killer for flippin’ & pitchin.’)
2. Berkley 7″ “Powerbait” worm in “Red Shad” or “Watermelon/Red Flake” color. (Rigged Texas-style with a 3/0-4/0 Gamakatsu offset hook & a 1/16 OZ ,screw-in, worm weight.)
3. Manns Hank Parker series “The Classic” Spinnerbait in “White” color, 1/4 OZ. (Honorable mention- Terminator Super Stainless Dirty Water Spinnerbait 3/8 OZ “Chartreuse Red” color.)
4. Rapala Husky Jerk Minnow 3/8 OZ, 4″ in “Glass Minnow” or “Silver” color.
5. Cotton Cordell “CC Shad” CD12, 1/3 OZ in “Purple Shad” or “Chartreuse Shad” color.
I think I could fish a tournament and place with only those 5 lures.
Hope this helps in your decision? Good fishing.
What are your favorite bass fishing lures?
I no this question has been asked but just wondering what i should be buying for this season. Large and smallmouth bass.
LM bass:
okay. start with plastic worms. get an assortment. sizes/colors.
add to this some soft plastic topwaters. rage tail shad and toads by strike king. 5/0 or 6/0 extra wide gap offset hook.
a few spinner/buzz baits. different blade styles and different colors but mostly white/chartreuse. be sure to have a couple colorado blades in the mix.
l like (love) rico poppers by lobina lures but they’re just so damn expensive. l wade into the lake to retrieve hung ones and there is no body contact allowed.
rebel pop-rs and zara spooks by heddon round out what l use most.
l don’t use many crankbaits. sorry, you’re on your own. just match them to the shad or whatever your local forage is.
SM bass:
downsize these for smallmouth.
don’t forget the float ‘n’ fly combo for them though. and the regular assortment of smallmouth jigs.
what are some of the best fishing lures for bass fishing in the midwest?
i fish off my dock in 3 to 5 ft of water and i only can catch bass durring the evening all i have luck with is a small rubber shad a 7 in texas rigged worm and sometimes a buzzbait i also have alot of weeds but there are many open spots where i can cast and return it without getting snaged what are some good lures for the bass around there
Fish a Rage Tail Toad right over that matted grass.
Going to Walmart to get some bass fishing lures?
Im going to get as many lures as i can for under 20 dollars, i know im going to get a frog lure, but what other lures should i get (NOT SOFT PLASTICS) i fish a farm pond for BASS
Since it is a farm pond, I am assuming the water is not very deep and the forage is somewhat limited. If you want a hard bait, check out the Rapala Shallow Shad rape in Baby Bass color. I’ve caught more bass on that crank bait in small ponds than off any other lures.
