Everyone Needs a Game Plan
Author: Chris Angione
It's that simply really, you need to know:
-Where you are now
-Where you want to go
-How you are proposing to get there
-What you think it will cost
-What tools or skills you will need to have or acquire to make it all come together
-and how much time you have to devote to the effort.
What you need to DO FIRST is simple. Grab a piece of paper and a trusty pen (or pencil, whichever you prefer) and start writing a basic outline of your goals and desires along with a rough sketch or how you might get there.
This preliminary game plan will be a bit more than just rough; it will be a big hairy knarled creature dripping with muck and mire. But, if kept on a tight leash, it will be a great starting point to enable your new financial freedom to blossom.
What happens next is the testing and learning phase. You will need to try many things to find what works for your campaigns. This is where we look at "fishing poles and holes" mentioned last time. Will you be exploring a Google PPC campaign, SEO (search engine optimization), CPM/CPA networks, Email broadcasting, purchased leads, self generated leads, or ad distribution and site submission software? And, to manage the business of your endevoure, you will also need to explore back office systems to execute your campaigns and manage your work.
All these methods and systems are valid and can lead to high profits if done right, but they all can be financially damaging if done wrong.
You will need to know where your contacts/customers/leads are coming from. And know what it cost you to acquire them. Know your metrics.
Stop and take a close look at an unfortunate experience of mine for a minute. The first commission I ever received just appeared in my account with some ambiguous number attached to it. (Apparently I was supposed to know what that meant.) I didn't know where it came from, what campaign generated it, or whom that actual person was that shelled out the money.
I had nothing. I was beating my head against the wall to figure out how I might duplicate that success. If I could have funneled that through a large CPM/CPA network it could have been multiplied a few hundred thousand times over. (what an idiot)
Now let's say that profit cost me 0 in advertising or whatever promotion I had used. That looks like chump change I realize, but it could have turned into (if I was half smart enough to plan properly, if I tracked my responses) an absolute bonanza. Yet, I didn't, I lost out. (yes, I was not that smart)
This brings us back to education, probably the most important part of the puzzle. You will be spending money to make it happen for you, don't get me wrong. More often than not the old saying, "you get what you pay for" holds a lot of merit.
One important point to remember - one VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, HUMONGOUSLY IMPORTANT thing to remember is not to pay good money for anything you will not LEARN from.
Free trials are fantastic, 30 day, 45 day, 60 day money back guarantees are outstanding. Also many pay systems will even back you up on products. These trials give you the ability to see if it (the product or service, whatever) works for your campaign. There is no need to be left holding something you paid good money for that doesn't work for YOU.
I personally swear by the products and services I am currently using including back office systems, autoresponders, lead capture page production, Google AdWords training, and promotion and distribution.

should i continue this story?
Today I found a pit bull on a leash tied to a pole when i was going into toys r us.I had a gift card with 200 dollars on it so i was in there for a while about 5 hours. And when i came out he was still there ,but he was of the pole stuck on a bush.I figured that the owner lost him so, freed him and went to everyone I saw and asked if it was their dog they all said no. Then I went to a couple of of other parking lots, still no one
said it was their dog. I went to a friendly group of people still no,Just then when I was beginning to leave, the owner pulled up in an old brown truck and it was really old and so you could barely see the paint. He opened the rusty and squeaky door. He walked up to me and said, “So I heard you stole my dog”. I said, “well not quite sir” he was down by toys r us stuck on a bush. “Well I’ll just be taken him than “he said. When the man whistled he didn’t’t come so looking horrified the dog got yanked by his leash into the old truck. I get on my bike and follow him to his house because i knew he was going to do something bad to that dog because he ran off. Once I get to his house and look inside it was like a normal house. He went into the back yard and he chained dog up. I went up closer to the house creeped behind the house. He went inside and then he came out with a shock calur!!.i herd an “ouch”!i peeked though the old, nasty rotting blinds and there was tom with all the sharpest things there could be!I couldn’t tell anyone because they would not believe me.I went to go get something to record tom or trap him with but i turned around and my bike was gone but the most scary part was where the bike was there was tom!i knew not to panic but what could i do,i didn’t have my cell cause it was in the pocket on the bike!i ran as fast as i could and then i ran into a mini bike shop, and there was hundreds of bikes.so i hopped on one be cause tom was coming and i went no i flew down to my house i got a whole bunch of invisible fishing line and some really heavy tools from the garage i also grabbed some big ceiling hooks and a camera.i accidentally dropped the stuff i grabbed it and let the dogs out when i say dogs i mean all of them,i didn’t have time so i just hoped on and went back.i got there and i couldn’t believe my eyes the dog were there and there was all my stuff made into traps.all the dogs turned around from peeking over the side of the house and shushed me!!!then before i could even take a breath boom tom was hanging up side down and the trap worked.i took the mini bike back “without anyone knowing” and called the cops on tom he was P.O..they let me keep the dog and i named it wow.and no one never knew about my dogs adventure.i went to bed after taking a bath that night felling that i forgot something hm oh well i would have remembered it.i herd the dude across the street having a party i thought why are there no the dogs barking?oh crap the dogs!!!!!
to be continued…………….
omg ppl im 10!!!!!
You could, if you wished, finish the story, its up to you… but i wouldn’t! There’s nothing wrong with the topic for a short story, and some of your abstract isn’t too bad, but the writing and the narrative itself, is… quite horrendous! sorry, but that’s the truth. don’t like to burst a persons creative bubble, but if you’re serious about writing this story you need to do a lot of work, and get some pointers on how to improve it. If you e-mail me from my home page with a copy of this story, i’ll help you further, but i cant do it here and now because there would be far too much to cover.
one more thing; proof read it first!
Is this story good? What does it need?
I write stories a lot, and most of them aren’t long but I like them. I’m not finished but how is this story I’ve written so far? What should the title be? I have it The Blade but I want something better.
It was a rainy day. Izzy a 20 year old scientist was in her bathroom cleaning her dog Sarge (a German shepherd), when she got a call from the National Rain forest Accusation. “Izzy Williams, please come to the Amazon rain forest, a local native has spotted an interesting new cat species. We would like you to check it out!” a man exclaimed. “I’ll be there in a few days.” Replied Izzy. She dried off Sarge and packed 5 shirts, 2 jackets, 3 shorts, 1 pair of jeans, food, dog food, a leash, and shoes. Then she packed an emergency pack, a fishing pole, a net, food, dog food, a rope, blankets, pillows, a tent, a big water jug, a first aid kit, binoculars, and a contactor (radio). Once everything was packed Izzy and Sarge got in their 2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Izzy drove to the England SA Privet airport where she bought 2 helicopter tickets for South America. When all of their luggage was in the helicopter, they both got into it. There was nobody else on the Helicopter except the pilot, Izzy, and Sarge. Izzy sat in the back of the Machine with Sarge by her side. A few days later, Izzy taking a nap, when the pilot said, “welcome to Brazil, South America, we are now flying over the Amazon Rain forest. We will arrive at the Witchiti airport shortly.” Only after the pilot was done talking Izzy opened her eyes, and looked out the window, but she couldn’t see anything because it was storming very heavily. Izzy saw lighting flash above. “I’m afraid we’re flying through some weather.” The pilot said shakily. Izzy grabbed the survival kit and through it on her back. Then she sat on the ground and started petting Sarge (comforting him) It seemed like hours of flying until, Izzy heard a loud crack, that was probably thunder. She squeezed the arm rests on her chair, and Sarge started to wine. Izzy started to comfort him again, as she did so, she felt the helicopter shake uncontrollably, and start going down. The pilot looked at Izzy “lightning struck one of the blades we’re going down!” Izzy saw him grab a bag, which was probably a pair shoot “sorry” he said “I have to leave you from here” Izzy ran to the front of the helicopter, not paying any mind to Izzy the pilot, jumped out of the helicopter, Izzy watched him disappear, then continued her search for another pair shoot. When she couldn’t find one she tried to control the machine. That didn’t work; all it did was make the helicopter go straight down, Izzy could see the Amazon forest and river. She made the helicopter go in the direction of the river. As the helicopter was inching towards the water Izzy saw a yellow emergency boat. Izzy grabbed it, and Sarge, they were about to hit the water, Izzy jumped, and just in time to because when the helicopter hit the water it exploded. Once the fire had gone down Izzy opened the yellow emergency boat and her and Sarge climbed in. Izzy then opened the emergency pack, she took out the radio which was also a contactor, she turned it on but it didn’t light up Izzy threw it down on the boat and then shoved it back in the pack. Izzy cuddled with Sarge till she fell asleep.
When morning came Izzy was frightened of her surroundings, trees everywhere, as she was looking around her stomach made a gurgling sound. So she rummaged through her bag and found a perfectly red and juicy apple. As she munched into the apple she saw Sarge drool. So she took out a cup of dog food and gave it to him. When both of them were done with breakfast Izzy took out the radio again and turned it on them off, she then opened the battery holder and took both batteries out of it then switched them and turned the radio on again but still nothing came out. She put it back in the bag.
Izzy decided the best thing to do was to get onto land. “I’ll end in the ocean if I don’t” Izzy thought. She used everything that she thought would work but nothing did. After hours of trying Izzy gave up. She looked into the water; she noticed that the water was moving faster and faster. Izzy looked ahead of the raft and saw a terrifying site, the river ended into a 90 degree drop. Izzy thought quickly she soon decided to jump out of the boat and swim to shore. She put her emergency pack on her back and grabbed Sarge. She then pushed him in and jumped in herself. When she jumped in the water was very cold and it made her shiver and the current of water was very strong. She tried to swim to shore but the current was pulling her away. When she looked up and saw Sarge had got to shore he then turned around and jumped back in though. “Bad dog” tried to say through chattering teeth. As she was swimming she felt something warm and fuzzy brush against her arm when she looked down at it, it was Sarge. She grabbed around his chest so he could pull her to shore. When Iz
